The passion, strength, and skill behind the screen-print industry.
Freehand Graphics, Inc. was established over 3 decades ago and under the ownership of the same passionate and skilled executive team. The company began as the art and pre-press department of a multi-location sister screen-print company based on Long Island, New York. Today the corporate office is located in Holbrook, NY.
Every product of Freehand and every article, video and support option is designed so you can print long and prosper! When you invest in an inkjet printer, or a screen-printing press you want the equipment to be productive and to last long. After all, success comes from delivering great products and from managing business expenses properly.
Working every aspect of the screen-print pre-press and production departments allowed the President and CEO, Charlie Facini, to acquire the knowledge only hard work, dedication, and a passion for the process could bring. You may remember him as the “Computer Whiz”, a decade long monthly contributing writer for Impressions Magazine. You may have listened to one of his seminars, or invited him to consult for your screen-print business. Charlie is the go-to-resource for the industry including other industry consultants.
Charlie is fully engaged in the operation of the softwareforscreenprinters.com product line and the development and support of outstanding pre-press products.
Charlie, and Freehand’s Vice President, Laura Franco, embraced computer graphics technology literally from its beginning in the ’80s working the first versions of Adobe and then Corel products and mastering them. Charlie Facini took his expert dark room color separating skills and applied it to the burgeoning world of computer graphics. The most difficult and unpredictable tasks of color separating were achievable by the masses thanks to engineering. Spot Process the Photoshop plug-in became the product that brought Freehand Graphics to the attention of the global industry and gave screen-printers a reliable and easy tool to create tonal image separations. To this day no product has come close to delivering the quality and ease of use that Spot Process does.
Over 35 years later, Freehand remains the strength behind the screen-print industry, and a trusted resource. Freehand has developed Spot Process Separation Studio and AccuRIP Black Pearl Software. Freehand developed the All Black Ink system which changed the scope of the ink market for the industry for the better. Freehand engineered the Ditto Inkjet Film Feeder which solved a costly production frustration for desktop users.
Lead by Charlie Facini and Laura Franco, Freehand Graphics is the leader in pre-press knowledge.
